iPhone 6 clock time offset

I'm not sure yet if this is a bug in iOS 9 or other issue. The clock on my Verizon iPhone 6 is fast by about 2 minutes.

Other iPhones in the house have accurate time, but this one which has the iOS9 beta has the 2 minute offset.

Tried setting manually and then set back to auto, and it then goes back to the 2 minutes fast time. Tried resetting

network settings, no change. Tried setting to Airplane mode to turn off cellular (for just WiFi connection) and back on, no change.

Is this something with Verizon time server or an iOS issue?

Carl

With WiFi and Cellular off, after power-up, it has the clock with the same incorrect time.

It keeps track internal, and then syncs to server somehow, but I'm not sure how it prioritizes that.

It does keep its own time, but gets the sync from the iPhone via bluetooth

through the App. I am not sure how often is syncs the time.

Hmm. Well, it seems that since all the possible solutions have been exhausted, I guess there's nothing more you can really do than file a bug report explaining the issue.

I filed one. Still hoping someone that has similar problem has leads.

I don't think it is the phone HW, but just seems strange that it would

have this offset. Once it gets back to official release, I can see if it still

exists, and/or take to Apple store to see if they have any insight.

Okay. Now that it seems to be as settled as we can get it, I don't think there's much more to do. Maybe someone else has more information, but I think you'll be better off if you don't let this little problem distract you for too long. See you later! 🙂

I have same issue on my iPhone 6 (T-Mobile) iOs 9 has 2 minutes offset.

After updating my iPad Air 2 to GM release the time is still 2 minutes ahead. This is nuts.

I never noticed it til I saw this post. My 6 Plus on iOS 9 GM is 2 minutes faster than my iPad Air running the 9.1 beta.

sorry, reverse that. The iPad is 2 minutes faster than the 6 Plus running iOS 9 GM. iPad Air is on 9.1 beta

Of course. Problem is solved with iOS 9.1 Beta 1.

Joining in - also 2 minutes offset in Belgium, Brussels timezone - Proximus as provider.

I agree. Mine is also off by several minutes. Makes my whole system run odly at times when posting to a specific area or forum. Sometimes the time i get when adding coments corrects itself to the correct time not shown on the phone itself.

I've checked my devices with a atomic clock:

iPhone 6 iOS 9 GM (after installing did hard reset)

SS 42mm Watch OS2 GM (after installing did hard reset)

OS X El Capitan GM (turned off and started up again)

iPad Air 1 (WiFi only) iOS 9.1 beta 1 (after installing did hard reset)

All the above mentioned devices have the (exact) same time as the atomic clock. Even the seconds are corresponding, exactly the same.

My wife's iPad mini 1 and iPhone 6 (iOS 8.4.1) has the same time as above mentioned devices.

Strange....

Same on iPhone 6+ ios 9 GM on AT&T. It is making Two-factor authetication (2FA) like Google Authentication almost unusable.

Hi

Same problem with an iphone 6+ since last Beta iOS9 upgrade, time out by 80 seconds, on Vodafone UK, 2FA impossible with it being out this far.

Have all of you folks filed bug reports as well? It's important to let Apple know this is a fairly common issue.
