How to get activity monitor trace file from xcode instruments through command line?

While I'm trying to get energy trace file from xcode instrument through command line using below commands, sometimes Iam getting empty files , why so?


instruments -t "Activity Monitor" -D /users/nftcoe/Desktop/Instru.trace -w
