cant command line tools on catalina

After trying multiple time, I still can not get command line tools installed on OS 10.15.2 (19C57).

sudo xcode-select --reset

xcode-select --install

Restarted OS couple of times, repeated steps above. Still same error:

Can’t download the software because of a network problem.

Its really a mistke to upgrade to latest macos.

Any other suggestions ?

So manually installed command line tools. Will close this ticket after few folks read this solution.

Same issue for me and i tried to install manually but i didn't find the command line tools for 10.15 version. which version did you installed ?

I ran into the same issue and I was about to ask how does one manually install command line tools?

Then I searched a bit more and found where the tools are located: https://developer.apple.com/download/more/

Manual install worked. Command line tools download from apple; https://developer.apple.com/download/more/

Just install the latest version available. I have installed "Command Line tools for Xcode 12"

I was only able to manually install command line tools 11.5 on macos 10.15.3. FYI

On MacOs Catalina, version 10.15.1, anything higher than 11.5 failed for me.

Hi all,
I am trying to install the Arduino 2.0 beta 4 version software to upload my 3D printer marlin firmware. In doing so I have to install the command line tools and I think Xcode. I have a Macbook pro early 2011. I am using MACos 10.15.1. None of the versions of Command line tools I have tried will work on this version. Is there a version that will work?
