Finder Crashes When Using IPSW for iOS 13 in Catalina

Not sure why, but when I try to update my iPhone XS in Finder in Catalina it crashes every time. I installed Catalina, XCode 11, and the Configurator but still, when I click "Check For Update + Option" and select the Restore Image for iOS 13 the screen goes completely blank. I get no error message, no loading bar, nothing. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? I've seen numerous videos where this goes smoothly and the update initiates. Is there anything I can do here?

So I downloaded xcode beta and installed and then rebooted the computer. Tried update from finder again and after a VERY long time, the phone prompted me for passcode to update and then rebooted and started the update. Hope this helps.

When I right-clicked on iPad icon in Finder sidebar, and selected menu item “Open in New Tab”, the newly created tab had what I expected to see (alongside the still blank tab).


The Device icon, name, and the Software: VERSION

“Your Mac is restoring the software on this iPad.” messages.
