Can't access page because two-factor is enabled

I have enabled two-factor-authentication on my account, since that was recently made a requirement. Today when I tried to access https://developer.apple.com/account/, I get the following hilarious message:


"Your Apple ID currently has two-step verification turned on, but two-factor authentication is required. After you turn on two-factor authentication, signing in to your developer account will require both your password and access to your trusted devices or trusted phone number." (bolded by me)


I can login to https://developer.apple.com, and when doing so, I used the two-factor authentication, but I can't access the account-page. I have two different developer-accounts that are both having the Account Holder role, and the same issue occurs on both. None of the accounts are however connected to a physical device, so I use SMS-varification as the two-factor authentication method. I suppose this is a bug on Apples side?

Ugh, me too. I'm going to call every dev tech support person until they fix it. I have a personal apple ID and a work apple ID, so they say I have to log out of one, in with the other, and back to the first, and then they'll both work, but I'm not seeing a way to log out of iCloud. Ugh.

I also have this exact issue. I tried disabling and re-enabling 2 factor authentication, to no avail...

Help!


Update: this link https://forums.developer.apple.com/message/322837#322837 suggests that this may be an issue specifically when not using an Apple device for the two factor authentication. If this is the case, I don't personally own any apple device that i can use for this, but that's no reason to block me from developing for iOS all of a sudden!

Having at least one device registered in the Member Center has long been a requirement.
