I use Xcode 4 because it is free to override the developer certificate and because of my choice not to pay Apple I have less options when it comes to the types of applications Xcode can create. Is there a way to change the list of Xcode 3 application types? For instance it would be nice to be able to develop a Safari Extension right in Xcode 3 now that Apple has seemingly cut off the free Safari Developer Certificate signing page that was here:
Safari Extension Certificate Utility
https://developer.apple.com/certificates/safari/
Now when I go on there it says I have to pay 99 dollars but the paid certificate would require additional repairs anyway so I have decided not to pay.
My question is does anyone know of a patch for early Xcode versions to add Safari Extensions as one of the application types when you choose new project?
