install iOS 15.5 simulator, run one of those simulator? No crash. start xcode, go to window -> Device and simulators -> Simulator. Hit the plus in bottom left. Under OS version I picked "Download more simulator runtimes" and install, it automatically creates a set of devices with iOS 15.5 instead of 16.2. Once the download has finished, start up the simulator, close the all iOS 16 simulators if it opens.

Open the Terminal app and enter the following command softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 12.2 Create a bootable USB installer using these instructions. sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Monterey.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume  (MyVolume is the name of the USB flash drive or other volume you're using. If it has a different name) Press Return to enter the command. When prompted, type your administrator password and press Return again. Terminal doesn't show any characters as you type your password. When prompted, type Y to confirm that you want to erase the volume, then press Return. Terminal shows the progress as the volume is erased. After the volume is erased, you may see an alert that Terminal would like to access files on a removable volume. Click OK to allow the copy to proceed.  When Terminal says that it's done, the volume will have the same name as the installer you downloaded, such as Install macOS Monterey. You can now quit Terminal and eject the volume. Boot from the iUSB installer and install 12.2.  Migrata you date from your backup. If you want 12.2.1 use 12.2.1 vice 12.2 in the Terminal command. Press and hold the Option (Alt) ⌥ key immediately after turning on or restarting the Mac. Release the Option key when you see a dark screen showing your bootable volumes. Select the volume containing the bootable installer. Then click the up arrow or press Return.  If you can't start up from the bootable installer, make sure that Startup Security Utility is set to allow booting from external or removable media. Choose your language, if prompted. Select Install macOS (or Install OS X) from the Utilities window, then click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions. Note : If you new mac came with 12.3 then you might not be able to downgrade to 12.2. `
