i think i discovered what is causing the kernel panic -i have a WD passport external hard drive (it is formatted as 1.8tb "time machine volume" and 200gb of fat32 volume. every time a time machine backup is starting - theres a kernel panic.i booted recovery mode and did a "first aid" on all my drives (both hdd and the wd one) with no problems.apple hardware test - came out fine (did it twice, without any peripherials plugged in)booted into safe mode with the WD drive - started a time machine backup and a few minutes later - kernel panic!so: its either something is broken with the time machine app or my WD passport is the reason, even if it came out with no errors on disk utility. as im writing this comment its disconnected from my mac and not using time machine app at all and i didnt have any kernel panics.i also must say that i never had problems with the WD drive before, it only started after i updated to Catalina Beta 5!what do you think i should do?
