HT211983 (klick) describes this behavior and offers a solution, but.. the solution sounds sort of tough =/

Replied In Weather Widget

Maybe the privacy setting for 'weather' in location services is set to 'ask' instead of 'whenever using the app' ? I had to switch this manually to get local weather in the widget..regards..
