I Have a 2019 Honda Accord and a 2019 Mercedes SL. Carplay was working perfectly in both cars until a few bea beta released ago when Waze and some over the air music selections working play. The Waze app worked but I lost voice directions from it. It always worked perfectly in the Honda. The Accord in2019 has a different audio System than the Civics do. Anyway On my phone under Settings/CarPlay I removed the Mercedes. I then connected the cable in the Mercedes and slowed it to unlock the phone. It seems to work more. You guys may want to try removing the vehicle and then connect to it again. I know it's a low tech simplistic suggestion but it seems to have fixed my issue. I'll update if it fails again. ( Sorry for the comically ignorant wording. I blame my ipad floating keyboard swipe. I've Given up correcting because it's funnier just to leave it as is!)

I did this just morning. On my iMac running the latest Catalina beta I installed iPadOS beta 8, the latest iPad 13.0 beta version you can download and installed it through Catalina with my ipad physically plugged into the iMac. Took a few minutes and when it finished, my ipad shows as running iOS 13. The ipad iOS 13.1 versions were a little too gruesome for me right now so I bailed on the beta version.

Well just for laughs I once again tried to install beta 8 and wonder of wonders it installed flawlessly with zero issues, at least as far as installation issues go. Computers are still diabolical in operation and function after all these years.

I started the update this morning and went about my business. I came back after what I guess is 10 hours and the install progress bar was stuck about 75% through the install. Tried rebooting and all the usual stuff with no luck. I had to restore from a Time Machine backup. ( don't laugh) Anyway everthing is back to pre-beta 8 state but I don't want the silly machine to try to auto install so I'm shutting it down now. I just now while typing this received a pop-up telling something to the effect of my machine has detected a possible problem and would I like to send a report to Apple. I accepted the offer. Waiting for beta 9.

UPDATE: 4:30am to day, Watch was at 82% which is very good. I don't know what happened with yesterday's total drain but Watch seems fine now battery-wise.
