Thank you very much for that fast answer. But just as I am curious: Is it really the data provider types that are not supported, or is calling ARKitSession.run not supported on the simulator at all, even if I would call it with a supported data provider?

Yes, in fact I did things like that, but in the end this is static and does not use the same interface to interact with ARKit, like with the real hardware. So, I want to be able to dynamically get scene data from a simulated scene, using the same API or nearly the same API as with the hardware. Then I could make a fast switch in my code from simulated to real data.
