In Safari 15.4 there is a global namespace for "browser" and "browser.runtime". The presence of this in the page context breaks my browser extension which uses a test of "browser.runtime" to infer which context the code is running in.
What is plan for this namespace in the page context?

I can't seem to find any information anywhere on this, so I'm asking here for some clarification. Does Safari for iOS support Web Extensions when the page is added to the home screen using the "Add to home screen" share option? If so, is there a config/code requirement for the install "App" and/or extension manifest for making this work?
