Thank you for becoming involved. To be clear this is strictly a problem with notarization. I have been happily using the Canon framework since Sept 20.
There are two problems when I Archive for submission
a. The most serious is that someone in the past submitted a product using the Canon framework (reasonable). The notary service will not allow me to submit the bundles within the framework again even though it is an included framework not an App.
b. It does not honor the "Embed but no not sign" from Xcode. The parts all have valid Canon signatures and do not need (should not be) replaced with my own certificate because they are not my code. I have not gotten far enough to see if that resigning corrupts the package, but based on the next paragraph I suspect it does.
I have tried to work around this by removing the Canon signing, changing the bundleIDs, and then submitting. That gets the code to pass Notarization, but my App then crashes when it tries to access the bundles.
So I am pretty well stuck at this point. I have done even more reading after the references cited above. None gives me a path past problem A above or suggests how to tackle the problem when I manually resign.
