My new 2018 Intel Mac Mini purchased 12-01-2020 running Mojave connected to an iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011) running
High Sierra 10.13.6 in Display (Target Display Mode) worked fine. When the Mac Mini auto updated to Big Sur
during the configuration setup of a new computer it broke Target Display Mode. To make it worse I can not create
a bootable thumb drive for Mojave or Catalina to fall back to a working version of the macOS that does support
Target Display Mode.
