Hello! It usually doesn't take long, but try getting in touch with Apple Developer Customer Care, they'll help you out or let you know the reason for your application delay. You can request a phone call or send them an email at Apple Developer's website.

Hi. It will take 2-4 business days before Apple activates your Developer Account. They will send you an activation link, where you'd have to upload your government ID proof, and then only your account shall be activated.

Hi! You are an Apple Developer if you have created and linked your AppleID to developer.apple.com. If you pay the 99USD member ship then you will automatically be a member of Apple Developer Program. But I highly doubt, if they would let you because of the age constraint.

Best way is to get an external SSD, format it as a MacOS Filesystem and then install Xcode. In this way, you can save tons of space and get the same smooth experience as you would with your Mac.

Here is a tip. First install it on your Mac's internal SSD and then directly move it to your external SSD. In this way, you'll have it installed on your external SSD, and would be a little more faster.

I pretty much had the same issue. It seems that Xcode 13's simulators do tend to take up a good amount of CPU usage, and my MacBook Air M1 gets really warm while working on Xcode 13. I had the Spotlight issue while I was running my Xcode 13 on an external SSD, but once I transferred it to my internal, that issue did fade away. I hope Xcode 13's next beta would improve its performance.

What about the rumors of XCode coming on iPadOS 14? If it actually comes, it would be so helpful for all developers with iPads out there.
