Maybe you can use the mediastreamvalidator tool to have a check with the stream, it may provide more information regarding to the stream format.

I don't think FPS can do this(returning multiple keys in one license), you may need to request license when the key changes, or if possible, request the key before the key change by requesting the key earlier.

Ok, I understand now, I suppose as the certificate is signed by Apple Root certificate you can't use Python to generate the SPC but only iOS/tvOS can(with the specific API). Anyway you can try:)

while it's the common verification of the certificate and private key i think? even the KSM seems just ignore this part... anyway if they are not match you can't decrypt the SPC correctly.

Yes, the privae key is known only to the server. This is like the HTTPS, the public key in the certificate encrypt the content then server use private key to decrypt the content. Inside the content there is temporary key for further communication. Unless you hack the Apple system you can't parse the contentKey inside the CKC.

You need or your customer needs to apply the deployment package for FPS deployment, then you will have your private key and your certificate.Apple sample provides a development certificate but it can't be used for real playback.

I think the Apple's FairPlay spec is for MPEP2TS only? All the fmp4 format is using the CENC spec, same for H.265, as H265 can't be used in MPEG2TS with FPS.
