If it helps I'd like to note that this occurs:
In Xcode 11 or below and macOS 11
In Xcode 12 and macOS 10 or below
I don't have crash logs but have one system running Big Sur and one running Catalina, and see opposite behavior depending on which version of Xcode I use.
