I think the 'x' is just a typo... same error for me. Validation on https://search.developer.apple.com/appsearch-validation-tool/ fails

I saw all the videos and also recognized this hint. But what about the Shortcuts App? It definitely has buttons, I tested it with the iOS 14 beta.
So my question was more about the technical part. How to do that? The guidelines and the review team will be the second part of the process.
I think the issue is in the targets 'Build Phases' settings. If you check your main apps target you will find an 'Embed Pods Frameworks' entry. This one is missing in the App Clip Target. So the frameworks will not be included.
Unfortunately I haven't found a solution either. But maybe someone else has an idea and this hint is useful...
