Had the same, I finally removed the beta profile, restarteted, re-installed the beta profile and the download and installation went through without any hickups. Hope the same happens on your side when trying this.

This is just for vendors of virtualization products, like Parallels, VMWare, etc. It already existed in previous MacOS versions.

I didn't expect it anymore, but finally all the folders and files appeared in my Documents folder in iCloud Drive. Unfortunately, not at the latest version, which I can at least prove for one file that I edited in my "local" Documents folder in beta 7, and I can't find it anywhere on my file system.But I'm happy that finally all the apps folders are here and Documents&Desktop@iCloud is working again.

Beta 8 brings (for me, at least) the App folders back. I then activated "Documents & Desktop" in iCloud settings, which finally worked (means: it stayed selected), but these folders are now more or less empty. As the data in these folders is still visible in iCloud.com and on my other devices, I assume it will now sync and with a little patience I hope to have all my documents back....

Had to wait for approx 5 hours on a 2019 full spec Macbook Pro 15", then the indicator jumped to about 50% and stated "20min remaining...". I would guess it does something with FileVault encryption, also the release notes have some warnings regarding FileVault on a non-APFS volume, so there is some major change - maybe they need to re-crypt (is that a word?) the whole SSD.

Not uncommon on early betas, this usually happens when the BL daemon dies due to too heavy debug logging aka memory usage. Don't ask me though why this happens on one device and not the other :-) but I've seen similar errors during the last major iOS beta cycles.Did you remove all BL devices and re-add them?
