I'm also facing this problem currently. As now the policy has changed and need to give the app icon in the build itself. I have given the new icon in asset catalog of 1024 by 1024 pixel in png format and alpha channel is true. So when I create the .xcarchive package and upload it to store then the build gets validated, but the actual problem I'm facing is when we provide the build for review in app store connect, then getting an error their that - "A 1024 x 1024 pixel app icon for your app must be added to the asset catalog in Xcode". Please provide solution for the same. I have tried the all the reply but it is not working.
