Still have the same problem, the update did not change anything.

Thanks jeromeoffor the reply.Initially it started and was open less than a second. I openedSystems Preferences / Apple ID / iCloud / iCloud Drive / optionsand removed the checkmark on Books and afterwards added it againAfter I did this the Book app crahes immediatley.I looked up in the console app / system log and get the following:Books[1802]: objc[1802]: Class asn1OSToken is implemented in both /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CommerceKit.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CommerceCore.framework/Versions/A/CommerceCore (0x7fff8d928410) and /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreFP.framework/Versions/A/CoreFP (0x1154ab3d0). One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.I am not sure if this conflict in the two pathes causes the crashing.

Thanks for your suggestion. The partition is APFS. I did a Google search for the error "Could not create a Preboot Volume for APFS install" and found this solution https://www.fonepaw.com/upgrade/could-not-create-a-preboot-volume-for-apfs-install.html However, I would like to avoid this drastical appraoch as it involes a deletion of my volume. Any suggestions for an alternative?
