Is anyone using GKVoiceChat (on the Apple servers) and experiencing continual disconnects, even though the WiFi of all players is ‘Blazing Fast’ according to Xfinity speed test?
When there is only one active voice channel, Game Center rarely disconnects any players from the channel.
With two active voice channels, it disconnects at least one player from one channel every few minutes, at which point the code detects the disconnected player and immediately reconnects that player to the channel. The only impact is a few seconds of voice dropout.
With three active voice channels, the disconnects happen so frequently that the code cannot keep up.
FYI, the app is currently being distributed on TestFlight. It was being distributed Ad Hoc, but was moved to TestFlight, thinking that might solve the problem. It made no difference.
FYI2, when testing with more than two players, no more than two LANs were ever used (i.e., at least one LAN always hosted multiple players).
