I've never been more confused. How do I make the buttons take the user to different views?

Just watched the video and I'm even more confused. I thought this would just involve the simple addition of a modifier or something.
I need to make a state variable, so something like @State private var selectedView : ??????? ? I legitimately don't know what to choose there.
I have to pass selectedView to the list, so $selectedView, correct? What then? I've never been more confused by a WWDC session.
