The experience in iOS 18 beta 2 is different from iOS 17.6 beta and 17.5.1.
In iOS 18 the service worker is "invisible" in that it does not show up in the Safari debugger like it used to.
We had a tester try it out for a little while and he did not see the service worker getting killed.
