Download Container Error (Xcode 8 from iOS )

Replies

I built my app with Xcode 8 beta 6.

I installed the app on iOS10 beta 6, which is my real iPhone device.

I run the app, and tried to download the app's container with Xcode.

Download procedure with Xcode is as follows.

Window > DEVICES > my device name > Installed Apps > my app name > Download Container

I have tried over and over again, but I could not download the app's container.

Xcode said as follows.

"Failed to download application container"

Has anyone run into the same problem?

I'm running into this too. I tried deleting the app off the device and reinstalling... downloading a container seems broken.

+1 XCode 8.0 beta 6 + iOS 10 Beta

Reboot the iOS device works for me...

Although it will happen again later.

Same problem here: "Failed to download application container"
I rebooted the device but I still can't download it

Rebooting did not work for me.

I tried with iExplorer as well, but no success

Anyone find a solution? Same issue

Same problem here:

XCode Version 8.0 (8A218a)

iOS 10.0.2

OSX 10.11.6

I have tried:

1. deleted the /Users/me/Library/Developer/Xcode/iOS DeviceSupport folders

2. Restart the iOS device

3. Restart XCode

4. Removed and re-added the app

5. removed all profiles on device

It seems this now (i.e. since you installed Xcode 8 / using iOS 10) is only possible when you create a ipa archive for development (last of the four archiving options).

I was wondering where you read that. (I couldn't find reference to your statement about that resitriction).

Consider my statement 'empiric evidence' 🙂

Same problem here, trying the same steps of JSchoeman

+1 Still have this problem with Xcode 8 and iOS10. Any solutions. Have tried all possible solutions suggested in this thread
